Food supplement with high dosage of Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) in sublingual tablet.
Why choose it?
Ideale per:
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin which is only partially synthesized and accumulated in the body, and it is therefore necessary to introduce it daily through exclusively animal-derived foods. In particular, meat, fish, shellfish, eggs and dairy products are rich in it.
Its presence is essential to ensure perfect functioning of the body.
Vitamin B12 is necessary for the metabolism of amino acids and nucleic acids, together with folic acid it assists the synthesis of DNA, RNA and fatty acids. It is also essential in the production of red blood cells and in the formation of bone marrow. It also promotes the transformation of nutrients into energy. It regulates the functions of the central nervous system and is essential for the synthesis of dopamine and norepinephrine, the neurotransmitters involved in reducing stress for the benefit of good mood.
Our body is unable to synthesize it in large quantities but must introduce it exclusively with foods of animal origin and this is how oral supplementation of vitamin B12 is necessary in vegans and vegetarians.
Its need increases in the case of pregnancy and breastfeeding and in some pathological situations in which its absorption site (intestine) is compromised due to celiac disease, inflammatory diseases, dysbiosis, prolonged drug therapies or in the case of bariatric surgery, in which the section gastric residual does not sufficiently produce all the protagonists involved in vitamin absorption (hydrochloric acid, pepsin, and intrinsic factor).
The deficiency of this vitamin can cause haematological, gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms and the main ones are pernicious anemia, fatigue, headache, weight loss, nausea, tingling in the limbs, depression and psychosis.
It is a self-disintegrating mannitol designed to obtain a rapid dissolution of the tablets, it does not require further super-disintegrating agents, usually added in large quantities which can compromise the organoleptic yield.
Take one tablet a week and mark the dates in the space provided in the box so you don’t forget them.
